No two days are alike in the renewable energy sphere with new projects, initiatives, and exciting challenges popping up daily. We wouldn’t have it any other way.
Following the launch of our newest platform, MEI+, we have been fast at work to deliver on our promise to transform ambitious sustainability goals into reality. With several partners already onboarded, MEI+ is already making waves as a disruptor in our industry.
This month, we also found time to give back at the Capital Arena Food Bank, took our interns to see the Yankees win at The House That Ruth Built, and traveled to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to learn more about a new floating solar technology.
Our latest project with the School Board of Pittsylvania in Virginia marks one of the first portfolios built by our Madison services team. This project encompasses five roof mount sites that will together produce 2,511 kW DC and 1537 Annual MWh. This project is expected to reach PTO this coming fall.
In this month’s headlines, technology leaders are increasingly willing to pay a premium for sustainably operated data centers, recognizing clean energy as a market differentiator. Additionally, a consortium of electric co-ops, traditionally reliant on coal power, have executed new solar power purchase agreements aimed at achieving a 50% renewable electricity mix by 2025.
As artificial intelligence fuels a surge in power consumption, technology executives are ready to invest in eco-friendly data centers by opting for external shared hosting facilities.
A coal-heavy rural co-op utility is making a significant transition towards renewable energy by purchasing its first solar plants, reflecting a broader commitment to diversify its energy sources.
The month marks movement in clean energy in New York, Louisiana and Massachusetts.
Our Tyson’s office came together to support their local community by volunteering at the Capital Area Food Bank. Everyone participated in various tasks, including sorting and packing food, assisting with distribution, and ensuring that families in need received nutritious meals, all while fostering teamwork and camaraderie among colleagues.
The Madison team visited AccuSolar in Ft. Lauderdale, FL this month to learn more about potential new floating solar applications. It is exciting as a company to be at the forefront of new technologies that not only have the potential to expand our business but allow for an even larger impact on solving the climate crisis.
This summer, offices throughout Madison have been bustling with the arrival of this year's cohort of summer interns, who bring diverse backgrounds in fields such as data analytics and project management. They all have one important characteristic in common… a passion for renewable energy.
To show appreciation for their hard work, Madison treated the interns to a Yankees baseball game, where they enthusiastically cheered as the Yankees triumphed over the Tampa Bay Rays with a score of 9-1.
"Find Your Why" builds on the insights from Simon Sinek's "Start With Why," providing a practical guide for individuals and organizations to discover their purpose and inspire others. The book includes detailed exercises and action steps to help readers apply these concepts in their careers, teams, or nonprofits, addressing common concerns about defining and aligning their "Why." Ultimately, it emphasizes that everyone deserves to find fulfillment in their work by understanding the reasons behind their actions.
This is a very special “Take this with you” as the Madison team just got a little bigger this month with the birth of not one, not two, but three babies! On July 16th, Cassidy Quinn, Assistant Controller, celebrated the arrival of baby Cienna. Rayan Cerqueira, Project Coordinator, welcomed his daughter Cecilia on July 18th. Just a few days later on July 26th, Richard Walsh, CEO, and his wife Carly celebrated the birth of their second daughter, Neilly. On behalf of the whole team at Madison we would like to express our most heartfelt congratulations to the growing families!
