As the co-founder and CEO of Madison Energy Infrastructure (MEI), Rich is responsible for overseeing all activities related to capital allocation and strategy for the company. Since the founding of MEI, the team has built a diverse portfolio of over 350 MW of solar and storage across 22 states and is actively expanding into other markets and technologies.
Before co-founding MEI, he worked in various areas of the energy industry, leading investments in over $300 million in solar projects across dozens of state markets, with clients including the Federal Government, Fortune 100 companies, public utilities, and professional sports teams.
Rich is an active participant in the energy industry and has recently served as the US representative for the World Energy Council's Future Energy Leaders Programme. He graduated from Samford University, where he studied Finance and Spanish and was captain of the Men's Tennis team. Rich enjoys playing tennis, golf, snow skiing, and traveling. He resides in New York City with his wife Carly and daughter Mary Haynes.
